Privacy Policy

Drift Focus ("Drift", "we", "the app") is developed by Quantum Bytes. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data Drift collects, how it is used, and your choices.

1. Data That Stays on Your Device

Drift is designed to work entirely on your device. The following data is stored locally and never sent to our servers:

• Focus sessions — intentions, categories, durations, scores, and timestamps
• Settings — display name, preferred duration, daily goal, theme, soundscape preference
• Achievements — unlock status and dates
• Notifications — all notification scheduling and copy generation happens on-device

Drift does not have a backend server. Your session history, intentions, and scores are never uploaded anywhere.

2. HealthKit

If you choose to enable HealthKit integration in Settings, Drift reads the following data in read-only mode:

• Sleep analysis (hours slept last night)
• Step count (today)
• Exercise time (today)
• Mindful minutes (today)

This data is used solely to personalize greetings and widget insights (e.g., "Great day for deep work" after a good night's sleep). HealthKit data is never stored permanently, sent off-device, or used for advertising. When you disable HealthKit, all health data is immediately cleared from memory and the widget.

3. Sign in with Apple

If you choose to sign in with Apple, Drift receives:

• A unique user identifier (used to link your subscription across devices via RevenueCat)
• Your email address (if you choose to share it)
• Your name (if you choose to share it)

Your Apple user ID is stored securely in the device Keychain. Your email and name are stored on-device only. We do not maintain a user database or send your credentials to our own servers.

4. Subscriptions & RevenueCat

Drift uses RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat processes:

• An anonymous app user ID (or your Apple user ID if you sign in)
• Purchase receipts and subscription status

RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, session data, health data, or any personal content. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling.

5. Analytics & Tracking

Drift does not include any analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or advertising trackers. We do not collect usage analytics, device identifiers, or behavioral data.

6. Notifications

If you enable notifications, Drift schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated entirely on-device using your session history — no data is sent to any push notification service. You can disable notifications at any time in Settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Drift is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored on your device, deleting the app removes all your data. There is nothing to request deletion of from our servers because we don't have any of your data.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
